Are wormholes real? And if so what could cause it to form?
Hypothetically speaking, a worm hole would collapse instantly unless it was held together by something that has been termed "exotic matter" by theoretical physicists, which has negative gravity. It basically has to do with manipulating the geometry of space-time in a specific way connecting two points in space-time. So if it were even possible for them to exist, they would need to be constructed artificially. It would also require a mind-bogglingly huge amount of energy, something akin to the total power output of a star over its lifetime.
