Wormhole travel to very distant planet?

So if there would be a wormhole which you can instantly teleport to very very distant planet lets example a planet which is 2000 light years far, so when you ''teleport'' there carrying a super powerful telescope which can see very far, you would aim that telescope from 2000 LY far planet on Earth, you could see Romans fighting with germans or am i wrong ? :D
